Method & Pricing Basis

Material costs are estimated from unit prices ($/ft for cable, tray, conduit) multiplied by quantities from the project schedules. Cable lengths come from routing results if available, otherwise from the cable schedule.

Labor costs use built-in conceptual productivity allowances:

Cable pull: 150 ft/hr → $75/hr = $0.50/ft installed
Tray installation: 30 ft/hr → $90/hr = $3.00/ft installed
Conduit installation: 25 ft/hr → $85/hr = $3.40/ft installed

Default unit prices are built-in 2024 USD conceptual allowances, not a licensed cost-book extract. Import a current supplier, internal, or licensed cost source for issued estimates.

This estimate does not include: engineering fees, permits, switchgear, transformers, or conduit fittings beyond a default unit cost per fitting.

Regional factor = local wage ÷ national wage. The national reference is the BLS OEWS May 2024 median annual electrician wage ($62,350 ÷ 2,080 hr). Enter the comparable local OEWS value; this factor scales the loaded contractor labor rates, not the wage itself.
